# What is an automation credit?

How automation actions are metered across both products.

**Q: What counts as one credit?**
One executed automation action — a flow action in Salesforce or a workflow action in HubSpot. Reads (Get-actions) are free; writes consume a credit.

**Q: Where do I see consumption?**
CloudFiles Settings → Usage. The dashboard shows credits by month, by automation, and by user, with a projection against your plan.

**Q: What happens when I run out?**
Automations pause and emit an error.event with code credits_exhausted — they do not silently drop. Top up or wait for the monthly reset.

**Q: Do test-drive runs consume credits?**
No. Test drives run in the CloudFiles sandbox org against demo storage.
